Troubleshooting and FAQ

  • How to reset the unit: There is a small hole on the side of the PowerX units where sensors are attached. Push the button inside the hole with a long tapered object, e.g. a bent up paper clip and hold for 15 seconds or until LED starts blinking in a different pattern
  • What to do when I entered the wrong WiFi or password? Reset the unit using a long tapered object to push down the inside button next to the sensors
  • What other sensors are there and what are they used for? Depending on your purchase, your unit may include a third temperature sensor (TH), a water leak (WL), gas leak sensor (GL), or fire and smoke sensor (GS). While your PowerX unit will work without them, these sensors extend the functionality of our unit
  • What to do when the PowerX-Setup WiFi does not appear? You may have to wait for up to one minute and turn Wifi on and off until the PowerX-Setup Wifi appears
  • I connected to the PowerX-Setup WiFi but nothing happened. What now? Some computers or mobile phones block requests to open a setup screen. The unit automatically repeats this requests several times. Please wait for up to 1 minute for the setup screen to appear. If the setup screen still does not appear, follow these steps one by one: (1) Try to reconnect to the PowerX-Setup Wifi. (2) Use another phone or laptop. (3) Reset the unit
  • How do I know the setup succeeded Once the PowerX logo lights up in a stable blue, setup was successful
